Italian Hamburgers with Sauteed Mushrooms and Onions

Homemade patties allows for unlimited flavor potential! Here's my go-to recipe for killer hamburgers. Cook them stovetop, in the oven or on the grill, these burgers will make it feel like summer year-round!  

Ingredients

Hamburger Patties

  • 1 pound Ground Beef

  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced

  • 1/2 Onion, finely diced

  • 1/4 cup Italian Breadcrumbs

  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

  • 1/4 cup fresh Parsley, chopped

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 tablespoon Lawrey's Seasoning Salt

  • Salt + Pepper to taste

  • Butter + Olive Oil to lightly coat pan

  • Sliced Cheese to top (optional)

Mushroom & Onion Sautee

  • 8 Crimini Mushrooms, sliced

  • 1/2 Onion, sliced

  • 1 clove Garlic, minced

  • Butter + Olive Oil to lightly coat pan

For the hamburgers: Using clean hands, mix all ingredients together until well combined. (Add more breadcrumbs if mixture is too moist.) Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties. Grill or cook in a pan over medium-high heat greased with butter + olive oil, about 4 minutes per side. Top with cheese, if desired.  Allow to rest 10 minutes before serving.

For the mushrooms and onions: Over medium heat, add enough butter + olive oil to lightly coat a pan, and cook the onions until softened. Add mushrooms and garlic, and cook until all rendered moisture from the mushrooms has evaporated, about 5-10 minutes.  Salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble hamburger patties on dressed buns (I like mine with mayo and ketchup) with the sauteed mushrooms and onions. Enjoy with the ones you love!
